National Institute on Aging - Federal agency supporting and conducting Alzheimer's disease research.

The Ohio Department of Aging - A  federally designated State Unit on Aging. They serve as the sole state agency to coordinate Older Americans Act programs and services, as well as other services to meet the needs of Ohio’s elders.

Amherst Office on Aging -  Supporting the quality of life of older adults through Meals on Wheels, Bus Transportation, and informational and supportive services.

LIFE A Dementia Friendly Foundation - LIFE’s mission of faith is to care partner with anyone touched by dementia, and offer resources, education, and engaging activities that promote and improve the quality of LIFE.

Lorain County Office on Aging -  Primary agency in supporting Lorain County’s older adult population. Their mission is to improve the health, well-being, and independence of aging individuals and other adults with special needs through nutrition and in-home support. 

Hospice of the Western Reserve - End-of-life care, caregiver support, and bereavement services throughout Northern Ohio.  They strive to relieve suffering, enhance comfort, promote quality of life, and foster choice in end-of-life care and support effective grieving.

Oberlin Community Services -  Direct assistance, referrals, outreach services, and educational support to community members who seek help meeting basic needs.

Wellington Office on Aging -  Providing services such as meals on wheels and the senior bus. They support independent living and promote dignity and a positive quality of life.

Western Reserve Area Agency Aging - Serving older adults and individuals with disabilities in Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain and Medina counties through advocacy, assistance, answers on aging and disabilities.

Veterans

US Department of Veteran Affairs - VA has two programs for caregivers: The Program of General Caregiver Support Services (eligible Veterans all eras) and the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (eligible post-9/11 Veterans).

Veterans Care Coordination -  Improving the lives of Veterans and surviving spouses by obtaining the Pension with Aid and Attendance benefit and managing the home care that allows them to live independently.
